Abstract

In situations where calculating breakeven using cost of goods sold is impractical, such as a first-time entrepreneur starting a small retail business, markup pricing can be used to estimate breakeven.

Comments

This invention is an extension of the traditional "Cost of Goods Sold" method of estimating breakeven but for the first time retailer who lacks historical data on variable costs.
