The Foodies’ Guide to Vegetarian Cookery in 19th Century America provides a historically significant look at vegetarian food and cookery in the United States during the long 19th century. Titles included in this guide include works published within the United States between 1790 and 1920.

The creation of this guide corresponds to McKee Library's Center for the Study of 19th Century America, whose mission is to acquire, preserve, and provide access to a wide range of primary and secondary materials in support of presenting researchers with a context to understand the times in which the Seventh-day Adventist Church began.
