“Save” was one of many posters issued during World War I to encourage support of the war. This poster was illustrated Fredric Gross Cooper in 1917. Cooper was a well-known American graphic designer and poster artist. The poster encourages Americans to conserve food by adjusting their eating habits so that food can be sent abroad to the soldiers. The poster was created and reproduced as a lithograph at the time of it’s distribution.
