Department Chair: Keith Snyder, Ph.D.

Southern’s Biology Department strives to keep pace with recent discoveries in the biological sciences while maintaining a distinctly Seventh-day Adventist Christian perspective. Allied health includes clinical health care professions distinct from medicine, dentistry, and nursing. In allied health you are involved with patient health and you are regarded as an expert in your field. Some allied health professionals practice independently; others work as part of a health care team, providing continual evaluation and assessment of patient needs.

Information regarding the department's E.O. Grundset Lecture Series can be found here. The department's newsletter, Lifelines, can be found with the departmental newsletters.
