Kevin Crary Art Exhibit

Kevin Crary has had his art displayed in numerous restaurants across North Carolina. Kevin has expanded his artist reach through outlets such as the Chattanooga Market and creating his own website. Kevin’s art has been purchased across the country.

Unorthodox methods and unconventional ways of painting have always been his approach towards creating art. Abstract art would be Kevins ‘go to’ approach when beginning the subject matter, and then he attempts to manipulate areas in order to create an image.

PROCESS: One of the techniques that he uses is mixing dirt with primer in order to create texture. After making the frame and stretching the fabric, the texture is applied. Before the texture dries, spray paint is incorporated into the mix. While the texture dries, the spray paint begins to crackle. The outcome of this process provides a rustic, aged feel, which makes the canvas ready to bring the image to life.

This exhibit was displayed at McKee Library during the Fall 2021 semester.

Printing is not supported at the primary Gallery Thumbnail page. Please first navigate to a specific Image before printing.
