Abstract
In Luke 15:3–7, Jesus tells a story about a shepherd who leaves ninety-nine sheep to go after one that is lost. It’s a strange image. Who leaves the ninety-nine to find one? It almost feels irresponsible, until you realize what Jesus is trying to show us.
