Although the library showcased alumni art before this year, the 1973 December display focused on the creative works of current students from painting, drawing, and sculpture classes. This exhibit was arranged to honor beloved art instructor George Walker before his departure from Southern Missionary College. The display paved the way for more student art to be featured in the library during the years to come.
