“Feed a Fighter” was one of many posters issued during World War I to encourage support of the war. This poster was created by Wallace Morgan in 1918 during the global food shortage during World War I. It was commissioned specifically to encourage the preservation of food through adhering to ration days so that more food could be sent to the soldiers. According to the Smithsonian Institute, Morgan, an American illustrator and artist, was known for projecting a feeling of movement into his work. This poster was created and reproduced as a colored print at the time of its distribution.
