Description

Histoplasmosis is an infection caused by fungal spores predominant in the Mississippi River valleys and affects many people in this community. It is typically chronic following an asymptotic infection, but it can develop into 3 different forms. I will describe the role of histopathology in diagnosing this disease as well as prognosis and treatment.
