Abstract

Kelsey, an alumnus of Southern, shared about her time as an English and History teacher on the island of Kosrae. She shared about her passion for health and how this impacted her time at Southern and her career path. The stories she shared about her impact at the school in Kosrae show God’s work through missionaries.

Kosrae is one of four of the Federated States of Micronesia, a country in the western Pacific Ocean. Kosrae is a volcanic island that produces taro, oranges, breadfruit, and bananas. Kosrae is known for its biodiversity in water (reefs) and above water on the island.
