Abstract

Angelica shared about her time as a teacher with Amor projects in Peru. She shared about her childhood and how it had an impact on her perspective on her abilities during her mission year. She shared about her career goals changing because of her mission year and her ideas of continuing a mission focus into a typical life in the United States.

Peru is a country located in western South America that borders the Pacific Ocean, Colombia, Brazil, Chile, and Ecuador. The primary ethnic groups in Peru consist of indigenous groups Mestizos (or those of mixed ethnicity) and the Quechua (the indigenous group of Peru), and the primary religion is Roman Catholicism. Peru is known for Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca, and its unique cuisine.
