Description

Mindfulness meditation is shown to have positive effects in alleviating symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress. This is caused by increasing a sense of interoception, an understanding of the physical state of your body, allowing the meditator to become more in the present. This study asks whether mindfulness meditation is effective only in guided sessions, or if it can be practiced in self-guided manner. Using a quasi-experimental study with two groups.
