Abstract (Description of Research)

This research establishes a method to structurally identify cyclohexyl hydrogen sulfate using a 60 MHz NMR spectrometer. The study leverages 96% sulfuric acid as a catalyst and reactant to enhance the stability of carbocation, facilitating detection of cyclohexyl hydrogen sulfate via NMR. By examining the NMR spectra, this work not only improves our understanding of NMR sensitivity but also contributes to the broader knowledge of carbocation behavior under acidic conditions.
