Abstract

Ken, a Southern alumn, shared his time as a member of a traveling quartet in Thailand. He discussed how his mission year directed the trajectory of his life and career. He shared many interesting stories of God working in his life during his time as a student missionary.

Thailand is a country in Southeast Asia bordered by Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, and the Gulf of Thailand. The majority of the population in Thailand is ethnically Thai, with significant minority groups including Chinese, Malay, and indigenous peoples. The predominant religion is Theravada Buddhism, which plays a central role in Thai culture and daily life. Thailand is famous for beaches, historical landmarks such as the Grand Palace and Ayutthaya, and the culinary scene.
