New Zealand is a country in the southwestern Pacific Ocean, consisting of two main islands. The majority of the population is of European descent, primarily Māori and Pākehā, with significant communities made up of individuals of Pacific Islander and Asian descent. The predominant religion is Christianity, although the country is known for its secular and diverse society. New Zealand is known for its natural landscapes, including beaches, mountains, and rainforests, as well as its vibrant indigenous Māori culture and outdoor adventure activities.
