The transition from undergraduate education to graduate-level education may often be stressful and difficult to adapt to change. These stressful experiences of graduate-level education can negatively impact the wellbeing of students. Although mindfulness is a practice that has been present for quite some time, it has only recently been started to be studied. Mindfulness has been shown to buffer the effects of burnouts and stressors, while being positively correlated with psychological and physiological wellbeing and quality of life. This study examines mindfulness and stress levels among graduate students.
