Description
This study aims to explore the impact that stress levels and amounts of sleep have on the perception accuracy of nonverbal communication in college students. Nonverbal communication comprises the majority of communication and is utilized worldwide on its own and in conjunction with vocal and verbal communication. Current research studies show that factors such as mental illness and gender can affect the perception accuracy of nonverbal communication. Though many studies have been conducted on this topic, few discuss how specific factors affect the perception and accuracy of nonverbal communication. Studying the impact of stress and sleep levels on the perception accuracy of nonverbal communication makes it possible to discover specific identifying factors and encourage further in-depth research on this subject.
