Comments

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between metacognition and the following five domains of emotional intelligence: self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skill. Recent research on this topic looks mainly at metacognition as it relates to emotional intelligence as a whole or at the five domains outside the umbrella of emotional intelligence. Thus, this study seeks to explore this relationship on a domain level to provide more insight and further the understanding of this topic. This study could potentially help inform the development of metacognition-based interventions to help develop and promote emotional intelligence.
