Description

The presentation covers the rationale, methodology, and results of a mixed-methods study designed to answer the following question: How does current religiosity and previous sexual education impact current sexual attitudes and perceived efficacy of sex education? The Center for Disease Control found, in 2021, that 46% of new STI infections occur in people ages 15-24, many individuals aged 13-25 are not satisfied with the sex education they had received, and that these rates are getting higher (Payton, 2022). The data was collected via a survey and individual in-depth interviews from a convenience sample of students at Southern Adventist University.
