Abstract

John shared his time at Matandani, a boarding school in Malawi, as a religion teacher. He told of his experience that led to many realizations in his relationship with God and how his student mission year led him to his current perspective on missions.

Malawi is a land-locked country in southeastern Africa located along the East African Rift Valley. The most commonly spoken languages include the Bantu languages, but English is the official language of the government and is used for education, commerce, and law. Malawi is known for the third-largest lake in Africa, Lake Malawi, its rehabilitated natural reserves, and its tobacco production.
