National Black Women’s Appreciation Day happens each year on March 1st. But the knowledge that Black women struggle to balance their families, their careers, their entrepreneurial pursuits and most significantly their health on the other 364 days is significant. Our project focuses on the impact of stressors Black women/students experience in higher education. Participants will have the opportunity to measure their own stressors and to reflect on their self-care practices and prioritization. Our research question: How does self-care practice impact the stress of Black women in higher education?
