Description

Over the past decade, there has been a notable increase in assault events along the southern Texas border, with a significant decrease during 2020 and 2021, likely due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Notably, the majority of reported assault events involve Police Forces and Government actors, exceeding those attributed to Criminal actors. Particularly concerning are the high incidences of sexual assault and torture, predominantly associated with Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).
